Calico is called the most dangerous woman on the planet, and some of the people saying it mean it. She is also working toward a sommelier certification.

From the Baxter Society to assassin

Calico used to belong to the Baxter Society, the international order of monster hunters. She left to become an assassin. According to Grey Talon, a legend of the society, the reason is the most disappointing one possible: she gave up her ideals for money.

She has been an assassin for at least five years and is hunted by Interpol, Scotland Yard and the OSIC. She assassinated a man named Siegfried right under Mirage's nose, and the OSIC has ordered Hayes to kill her.

The Pocket incident

Five years ago she was hired to kill Pocket, and shot them on their 18th birthday. The bullet missed the heart and Pocket survived. Calico's version of events is rather different from Pocket's.

Old colleagues

  • Grey Talon (Wesley) is disappointed but doesn't resent her. She didn't go to his family's funeral, and he says her being here now means more.
  • Venator knew her from the society and loathes her now.
  • Shiv calls her a traitor, even though she left before he joined.
  • Hayes and Calico know Hayes's boss Marlowe, and their small talk is exactly as warm as you'd expect.

Taste and family

Calico is a snob and proud of it. She values class and enjoys wine tastings. She has a son, and she has Ava, her Sphinx cat familiar. Around Ava she calls herself Mommy.

  • Lady Geist likes her. After her very first contract killing, Calico celebrated by buying one of Geist's late husband's paintings.
  • The Doorman likes her and loves Ava. If anything happens to Calico, Ava will be treated like a queen at the Baroness.
  • Mo and Krill have a soft spot for Ava too.
  • Graves recognized her from a Christmas party at her parents' law firm, held right after Calico killed one of the firm's clients.

Why she's in the ritual

Calico says she intends to kill a patron. Both patrons, meanwhile, tell her the same thing: her past is going to catch up with her, and they can prevent that if she summons them.

The short version
